About the Author
Patrick A. McGuire is the author of “North Dakota, Heal Thyself,” a centennial history of the School of Medicine at the University of North Dakota, and of “Good Medicine,” an anecdotal narrative of the political campaign to save the medical school. He spent 26 years as a newspaper journalist at
The Denver Post and
The Baltimore Sun, has written for Business Week and Maryland Public Television, and is the former General Manager of Health Ink Communications.
A native of Syracuse, N.Y., he currently resides in Abingdon, Maryland with his wife, dog and five-string banjo.
